About the Toy Drive

Since 1991, Community Partners for Children has provided toys and clothing to a cumulative 8,000 children in need through our annual Holiday Donation Drive. In 2009 we made sure 600 of Alexandria's children had toys and food for the December holidays. Families receive a special invitation to attend our Distribution Day in time to wrap their children's gifts before the holidays. On Distribution Day, we and our volunteers transform a local recreation center into a winter wonderland so the children are entertained with fun activities while their parents select their gifts. We rely on volunteers to help sort and count the donations, escort families to select items, and do arts and crafts with the children.

Please donate new toys,
infant and toddler items,
gifts for 10 to 12 year olds, and grocery store gift cards.
